Nestwares by Chakraborty was born from a lifelong obsession with the intersection of two worlds, the precision of automobiles and the soul of home decoration. What began as an innate curiosity for how people curate their private sanctuaries evolved into a mission to address a significant void in the modern furniture industry.

As I delved deeper into the world of interiors, a troubling pattern emerged. The industry began prioritizing profit margins over the heartbeat of craftsmanship. In an era of mass production and rising costs, high-quality, handcrafted furniture became a luxury accessible only to a few, leaving many unable to truly transform their houses into homes.

Growing up in India, which is a land of 1.4 billion people and a lineage of artistry spanning centuries, I witnessed firsthand the staggering talent of master craftsmen whose work remains largely unrecognized on the global stage. From the intricate carvings of the Mughal era to the delicate woodwork of modern artisans, Indian craftsmanship is an art form that took eons to master.
