About Us
I have always been passionate about two things - Automobiles and Home Decoration. From a very young age, I used to be that nosy kid to visit everyone's houses (even though when I was not invited) just to get a glimpse of how they decorated their houses. What started off as a curiosity, soon grew into a full-fledged passion.
However, as I delved deeper and deeper in this industry, it soon became very apparent to me that craftsmanship was not cherished as much as companies cared about profits. With inflation skyrocketing, the prices of handcrafted furniture and cosy home decor was not really accessible to people who just wanted to make their houses their homes.
India, where I grew up in, is a place of 1.4 billion people, and amongst that, countless people are experts when it comes to very delicate craftsmanship. Their work is not nearly as recognised as it should be. I made up my mind to change that as a result of all these gaps, I decided to transform my passion into a mission, and hopefully, a solution to a lot of people. And that is how "NestWares" was born.
One of the two sole reasons why I started this venture was to make handcrafted furniture a lot more accessible to the people who struggled to find good quality furniture without breaking their bank. The other reason was to ensure that Indian craftsmanship reaches a global audience. Indian craftsmanship dates back centuries when the Mughals used to rule India. Their craftsmanship included intricate wooden carvings and designs that would later go on to become an art form.
With that in mind, I designed to include an exclusive section, which is also a major part of NestWares, of handcrafted wooden furniture, brought to you by the masters of wooden crafts themselves. NestWares also are proud to present a section of contemporary furnishings, that caters to a different segment of people, so that everyone can find their own piece. That is what I have always believed in and that is what I will continue to believe in.
As we continue to grow (both the company and our catalogue!), I sincerely hope that you find YOUR own piece of furniture that will make your house your own home. Once again, thanks for stopping by and investing not just in an ordinary piece of furniture, but rather in a craft that took eons to master.
Happy Shopping!
